Looking for a new pediatrician in NE/Takoma/Silver Spring area

Hello,

I realize that our current pediatrician practice is now charging $30 to fill the school form. I always bring the form during the annual check up and come pick it up. I actually find it outrageous to ask for so much for one form when it is about filling one page and print the two pages of vaccines our kids have.

I am hoping to find another practice that is more reasonable. Many thanks for any recommendation in the Colombia Heights to Silver Spring "corridor".

We go to Pediatric and Adolescent Care of Silver Spring. I don't know what they charge for school forms though as I have an infant. They didn't charge us anything for the forms required by daycare.

It's Discovery Pediatrics in Silver Spring. I completely understand the fee. The doctor/staff spend and incredible amount of time on these forms.

The fact that you bring the form and pick it up during the visit is meaningless. Everyone has forms the doctor has to complete. The doctor can't extend everyones' visit to complete them.

Sports forms
Activity forms
College forms (don't know if this is still true, but it was when I applied)
Visa forms
Travel forms
Program forms

We went to silver spring pediatrics and never had this happen with daycare forms. The nurses always completed the forms and the doctor signed off.

They charge $10 and it’s totally reasonable. OP, do you have any idea how low the reimbursement rates are for most of what pediatricians do? If you want them to stay in practice, this is a pretty small price to contribute to that being workable.
