Camilla is 78 years old and is the Queen of the UK. To young people her clothing probably seems frumpy, but she dresses age and position appropriate. |
Thank you! I don't understand why the security detail don't step in more for these things. Her own detail for putting her and everyone around her at risk, and then visitor's detail, such as the King and Camilla. They should see the threat and tell her to remove them or you whisk the visitor away. |
Agree but there are much better colors and necklines to set off those amethysts and the cut of that dress seems designed to make her boobs look saggy. |
| Are the long gloves part of a royal dress code or everyone playing Disney Princess? As a peasant, I don't understand how you are supposed to eat with satin gloves. Are you supposed to remove them or keep them on? |
Also, Melania's opera gloves were suede, which seems even weirder to me! |
This is literally the first time I’ve seen her wear an appropriate fashion choice. Ever. It would be better if her arms were covered, but it’s amazingly a good choice. |
Eh I don’t think Kate will be frumpy when she gets to that age |
I have two friends who go to a lot of white tie events here in DC and leather opera gloves are de rigeur. (I always assumed opera gloves were silk or satin, but that's considered trashy.) I have never heard of suede opera gloves but a) I'm a middle class nobody and b) I guess suede tracks? If you have leather gloves why can't you have suede? Idk. I think they all sound horribly uncomfortable. I felt very vindicated when Michelle Obama said on her podcast that she was coached by her protocol team to take them off before eating but they were so difficult to put on that she was like, nah. and left them on to eat dinner at Buckingham Palace lol |
