This has always been the case with Potomac. That coach cares only about winning but has no sense of how to do so. Certainly hasn't actually developed any players, just recruits them then thinks she can win with a few strong players, while she leaves strong athletes, who could contribute with good coaching, sitting on the bench. It's very frustrating to watch this happen for so many years. She has no trust in any of her athletes unless they are on the Capital A team. The rest get benched or told to just run around to fill the space.

You clearly are a former parent with an axe to grind.

I was at the Potomac - Visi gsme this afternoon.

Visi was the better team, controlled the tempo of the game except for the early stages of the 1st quarter.

Potomac has no bench and thus little depth. They might have had 5 - 6 girls on the bench today. Visi on the other hand has bench of at least 15 girls on its bench.

News flash, when you have the inferior team and don’t have the horses to run with visi in the midfield, you should try to slow down the game when you can. Visi as we all know is loaded in the midfield and it shows.

Potomac had plenty of offensive chances but shot poorly.

Based on what I have seen thus far, SR is the team to beat in the ISL.

May be a bitter parent but they aren’t wrong. Potomac has just as many fast D1-quality middies as Visi. Potomac may have a shallower bench but have a stronger starting line. With a good coaching they’d have beat Visi.

When Visi starts blowing out teams you’ll have earned the right to say others are “inferior” and don’t have the same “horses.” Beating teams by 1 or 2 doesn’t support it. Visi has established it’s in same class as Potomac and SJC based on recent performances.

Potomac d1s are great players but visis midis are all ranked players so there is a caliber difference.

It’s a LOT harder to get into Potomac than Visi which starts at 9th so the fact that these two are even in the same sentence is remarkable. Potomac has to work with what they had come in the door in K, 7th or 9th.

Visi's midis are overrated. Scored almost all of their goals on gifts from refs on free position shots.

One of visi’S goal didn’t technically go in.

Hole in the net… and the visi girls were laughing that the officials even counted it.

Do you understand how rankings of individual lax players work? They have to pursue it. It’s not a pure process. It doesn’t mean much other than v other players who pursued rankings too.

Much harder to get into Potomac as a transfer.

Unfortunately, one of them didn't play vs Visi.

5 years ago when Potomac would play visi, they would likely get crushed and it wasn’t even a game after the first quarter.

Fast forward to today, Potomacs program has slowly but surely has become more competitive each passing year which is a good thing for girls lacrosse.

The fact that we are even discussing the result of the visi - Potomac proves this as this was never the case 5+ years ago.

any other feedback in saints / SR game? pretty close.
Anonymous
is there anywhere to watch these games online?

So does all that shade mean the Potomac coach is actually good? Seems like she must be okay to go from getting killed every time they played to 2-point games.

And, by "pursue", you mean "pay for".

She learned from one of the best. Her father is/was a beloved long time Landon coach if memory serves.
