This may be a long shot but does anyone live in Prince Frederick in Calvert County. Spouse works in Suitland and I telecommute. I like that housing is affordable and has developments with amenities. Wondering what the commute would be like, realistically, if I change jobs and have to commute into DC or Alexandria. Also curious about schools. I’ve heard schools in northern Calvert are excellent and wondering if that extends to Pf as well. Thanks! |
I am from Southern MD. Lots of people live there and commute into DC although I would never. Your spouse needs to investigate commuting times. There's one way in and out and everybody uses it. I left because I was never a redneck and there is still a whole lot of that going in. Lots of Trump supporters and good ole' boys. Are you a person of color? I definitely wouldn't consider it. |
Prince Frederick is a sh!thole. Lusby is much nicer. |
I work in Suitland too. Many many commute from Calvert and are very happy with schools and commute. |
Look in Dunkirk. Schools are great — commute to Suitland is easy. |
The Suitland commute is an easy drive. People I know who commute into DC do the commuter buses from park and ride lots and its OK. Virginia commutes would be harder because I think you'd get off the bus at lenfant and switch to metro and that adds time. |
