Family car-ish to fit two kids comfortably in back seat/big suitcases in trunk for occasional car trips.
Sedan or “small SUV-ish” as I will commute in it frequently Reliable/good gas mileage Basically a commute AND not huge family car. TIA! |
| Camry or Accord. You needed help with this? |
No one forced you to participate in this thread. Have a lovely day! |
But they were absolutely correct. Also, I’d add CRV and RAV 4 to their reply. |
| Nissan Leaf plus |
| Suburban- just in case unplanned quadruplets or you have to fill in for a metro bus. |
| Crv by Honda |

A friend has a Forrester and loves it. I've ridden it in a couple of times and it gives a very smooth ride.
May I suggest that when you have your top choices, do some weekend rentals. To me, Costcotravels.com has great car rental prices. Good Luck... |
| Mazda 5 would be perfect. We have a thule on top for college deliveries too. |
| F150, stick with the 3.5 twin turbo. Gets great mileage except when we tow the boat. Spacious and comfortable inside. |
| We got a used CRV and love it. Having trunk space is great. We always had sedans before and I love the bigger car. |
| How long are your trips? You may want to go with an electric vehicle. |
| I did not like the Honda when I test drove it. The console was hard to get used to, and it’s just impossibly boring. I preferred the Nissan Altima. |
I bought a 2019 Forester and love it! It’s a commuter car but but it’s safe, sturdy, and hola it’s value. Had better back seats now than it used to and I love all the safety features. Test drove other similar small SUVs ( RAV4, CRV, Mazda5) and Forester was my favorite. |
