Help- need last minute activities for 4.5 year old for 2 weeks

Our camp is over and preschool doesn’t start back until after Labor Day. We have been busy all summer and this just creeped up on us. We need some last minute ideas for activities our Au pair can do with our 4.5 year and 18 month old.

Are there any drop type camps going on?

Any single time activities we can send them to.

Next year we will get this done in advance!!!

-The Smithsonians aren’t usually too crowded last week of August.
-nature centers— some offer programs
-library activities/story time
-walks/hikes/strolls
-indoor playgrounds

This. Do you need something to take the kids away from the au pair to stay under hours? I've had a nanny for years, she has many au pair friends. All of them make up their own things for the kids to do, and they are often more creative than my ideas.

Do people seriously not know what to do with kids? You take them to the park. You swim, you play you do crafts. Why is this so hard?
