+1 I think OP is assuming because he was an ANC in DC but ANC races aren't partisan and I can't find anything that says he's a Dem.

He's also in Georgetown, which certainly has its share of Republicans. DC is pretty liberal overall, but there are some Republicans here.

Whatever party he belongs to, he should be put in jail as a would-be terrorist, and thrown out publicly by his party.

He doesn't have a party, at least not as an ANC Commissioner. I know him through others. He is an a$$ and I will in no way defend him even before this incident. (In fact, I helped the woman who defeated him.) But his political leanings, which best as I can tell are left, have no relation to this behavior. He was not ever an elected Democrat.
