So if I am selling my car and people want the carfax I have to pay $40 every time? Or $100 to send to 6 prospective buyers?

How is this a good business model? Is this for the buyer or seller? or just a scam...I am so lost as I have not bought or sold a used car in 20 years. Please enlighten me on the value add.

if you are selling. buy one carfax, print out the report to PDF and then email the report to prospective buyers.

or let the buyer pay for a carfax if they want it...just means that you have to give them the VIN of the car.

There're plenty of places to get carfax for ~$5.

And as a buyer, I'd never trust a seller-provided printer report, too easy to forge/alter.
