CCL schedule two games this weekend and still TBA game time?

LOL. Is this your first season in CCL? Have fun.

I'm not arguing about the merits or elite status of one league versus another, but based on my experience with two kids in several clubs, EDP scheduling is superior to CCL. With CCL, everything was always TBD, plus there were many, many last minute cancellations allegedly due to "coaching conflicts?" Coaching conflicts . . . that apparently popped up the day before a game.

EDP, NCSL, and SAM Soccer all way better at scheduling. CCL is a huge pain.

My experience with CCL schedule is quite the opposite. Once locked in I found it to be reliable and easy to work with. The challenge early on is that you have to get both clubs to agree mutually to times and locations for their entire slate of games. running all your games same day against an opponent has to be a scheduling challenge so expect some issues. Again my experience has been it works very well once locked in. Cant comment on your issue. dont go after CCL go after your club as it is your club and the opposing team that is scheduling their games not CCL

The league (CCL) does not give out start times. if the games are hosted by your club it is your club that is the issue. If it is the other club that is hosting it is their issue. In either case, the two clubs must come together to agree on schedules.

Which is ironic, considering that they claim to be amazing because of their "convenient" "clubcentric" scheduling.

I do not know from personal experience, but I've heard the issue with CCL is that one club representative does all the scheduling, whereas with other leagues, managers play a bigger role.

Troll alert. I have had 3 kids go through CCL and their scheduling is fine, when there are TBDs, it's usually the host club trying to lock down fields/times. Yes, the same clubs that schedule DA, ECNL, NCSL, EDP, etc. So don't bother trying to slam the league for the club's issues.

Not a troll. I was just stating my experience over three seasons of CCL with two different kids. You are saying failure to lock in times is a club issue and not a league issue, which is probably true. I said that in a later post. Glad CCL works for you.

We did not have not have similar scheduling problems with other leagues as we had with CCL. In other leagues, the games were set, including times, well in advance of the season. Look, a TBD time might work fine for you and your family. But if you have one kid in CCL and the other in CCL2 and a TBD for Fredericksburg and a TBD for Frederick on the same day and you live in Maryland, it it annoying not to know what time each game is until the week before. Some of us have other kids who have interests other than soccer.

As I said, the CCL format might work great for some families, but it didn't work well for mine. Also, my experience was at the younger age groups (because we moved to a non-CCL club). Perhaps it is better with older age groups. Or maybe our club just sucked with scheduling, which is also possible, but it was the away games that at unknown times that bothered me most. I don't want to have to hold entire days open until the week before the game. Again, that's my personal preference.

Its your club or the other club as previously noted. CCL has nothing to do with your club or the other not being able to allocate field or time.
