| We just moved to the area and are looking for a new team for our DD. We've done a little research but wanted to know if anyone had any experience with Herndon, CYA, and SYA? Coaches, facilities, club structure? Our DD is an 06, if that helps. |
| What talent level is your DD looking to play with? What was her previous team like ? |
| Herndon. No contest. |
We're not looking for the travel associated with DA and ECNL. We just want a good coach and stable club. Last stop was all sorts of a mess. Coach talked a good game, but the team wasn't progressing. And the club td was no better, no control over the coaches. |
| For a DD, the DA and ECNL teams have the majority of this area diluted. Hard to say you'll get a quality team outside of them. Depending upon the year, SYA has a couple good girls teams. NVSC has a couple good teams as well, but that may be too far for you. |
| I'd look at SYA, our experience has been very positive with the club. Low drama, they own their own fields, and draws from South Riding/Centreville, Chantilly, and Clifton. |
| Contact coach Gwyn Jones with FPYC 2006 girls. The team is looking to add additional players ahead of the season starting. Highly rated coach. Jonesg83@gmail.com |
| FPYC = Fairfax City |
Might want to avoid CYA in that case. Coach for the 06 girls is also the TD. Will talk all day but is really bad both as a coach and in how he runs the club. Its basically a business at this point and the soccer is about as weak as you'll find in the area. |
| SYA, Herndon, FPYC. Avoid CYA. |
| Quality soccer, look at SYA |
| Herndon has a few very strong teams. |
Look for a team not a club. |
Lol @ nvsc |
| The SYA girls are legit, contact the club. |
