What’s the best DC stuff you did with your young teens this summer?

That we could do the last 2 weeks of summer?

Wolftrap lawn seats with a picnic, always.

Outdoor movies are being played in public spaces all over the DMV. The Princess Bride in Lorain tonight. Building Museum is also doing them indoors for $5

Dear Evan Hansen at the KC, but that maybe an impossible set of tickets to get by now.

Day Trip to Harpers Ferry

Bile the W&O Trail

What do your kids enjoy?

That’s harder. Wherever tourists aren’t I guess. There is a reason it’s Restaurant Week, there is no traffic and everyone who can get out has. Seems like a good time to explore the burbs. The VA branch of the Air and Space Museum is amazing and never packed.

The new REACH event at the Kennedy Center could be be amazing, and there is an awesome opening lineup packed full of free things for two weeks (Hello Muppet amici’s on the lawn). But you do need to get tickets in advance and the good ones are going fast. And it’s the second weekend in August.

Is it really important to you to stay out of Arlington, Fairfax and MoCo?
