Cooking class for a tween - Anyone take a class at Cookology in Dulles Town Center?

My niece is interested in cooking and I was going to get her a class as a Christmas Gift.

Any recommendations on places to do this? The only 1 found was cookology.

I've taken several cooking classes there. I really like the school. Very laid back but you get great instruction. I always learn something new. Chef Ian and the owner Maria are awesome people, and seem really committed to teaching people how to cook good food--not just for the purposes of selling you something like Sur La Table, and they are affordable unlike Culinaerie! I live in DC and travel out to Dulles Town Center to take cooking classes. Culinaerie is too uptight.

Cookology had a kids class going on that looked like a lot of fun.
