It’s just not going to be Scott + Tessa
https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/scott-moir-engaged-former-skating-162419628.html I’m super happy for him, but I always hoped
|
| They were never more than friends/partners. |
| They were like siblings who knew how to turn on the charm on the rink. If you watch the documentary of them, you can see there is no spark and I am not even sure they are close friends. |
| I always assumed that either a) they were close but one of them is gay, and/or b) they played up the will they/won’t they angle for publicity. But it sure was fun to watch them skate together. |
|
The two women do look alike.
|
| The previous Olympic winners weren’t a couple either. He also married another former skater (who was also an Olympic medal winner with another partner) |
| OMG I am glad someone else feels my pain! Love Scott and Tessa and always hoped they would end up together. |
It's actually a testament to their skating that we all could so easily envision them together. They are magical on the ice. |
| I have no idea who these people are but looking at that photo, I would have thought the brunette was his fiance. The two of them are happy and glowing and just seem "in synch." His fiance is the lighter haired (with blue floral top?) She looks miserable and like she's not even part of their group. |
Me toooooooooo I am convinced they did date at some point (2016?) if you watch that interview with the newlywed game and he talks about she has trouble falling asleep and she looks so embarrassed. Sigh. Hope she finds someone, she seems awesome.
|
| Aww, I love those two. They are pretty great. We'll always have "Moulin Rouge"! |
Uh, yeah. Meryl Davis and Charlie White were never an item. The Shibutanis are siblings. Torvill and Dean aren't married. Did you somehow think all ice dance pairs are couples off the ice? |
so true! Plus the latch routine from 2016/2017. Have you seen that? Swoon.
|
Yes, beautiful! |
It must be sad picking historical docu-series over Hallmark/Lifetime movies all the time, especially at Christmas. Sure, everyone *knows* they weren’t a couple, but it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be adorable, swoon worthy, and what so many fans have been wishing for, for years. So, FWIW, I “know” a lot of things about the world, but it doesn’t make me stop wishing for sweet things, no matter how far fetched they seem. In any case, it’s still a bittersweet ending - I’m guessing he’s had to wait until all the sweat, pain, glitz and glamour was over. As a Canadian, we’ve watched them come up so far and for so long. The icing was already on the cake... this would have been he cherry, but it wasn’t meant to be. |
