my boy/girl twins applied - we are a minority (Hispanic/black) bilingual family and are thinking that will give us an edge in acceptance... the kids also scored VERY well

PP, I wouldn't worry too much. Sounds like your kids have a VERY good chance of being accepted, both of them.
