2019 Grand Caravan for $18,556

Anonymous
I have no experience buying a new car. What would happen if I went to Ourisman in Bowie and said "I will pay $18,556 for this Grand Caravan"? Would the price instantly go up because I'm not a college graduate who has been in the military and currently owns a Dodge?

Uh... what?

Email a bunch of dealers, tell them the exact car and trim you want, tell them "give me your best out-the-door price," then choose the best dealer and go pick up your car.

Why do people make this so hard?

The "ePrice" includes the following incentives: customer cash, USAA member discount, military discount, competitive discounts, loyalty discounts, and bonus cash. Customers may not qualify for any or all of these incentives, which would affect the "Internet Price" quoted. The "Internet Price" is not valid with any other price, promotion, discount, or prior sales agreement. The price quoted does not include taxes, tags, destination/freight fees, Ourisman Advantage ($199) and dealer processing fee of $300.

Explains it all on the link. I think you'll find that this is price they use to lure you in, and then you need to qualify for all of these things, which it is not a given.

Try TrueCar or another service that lets you pick out what you want and the dealers will come to you. You'll get a few good offers and you can pick.

I also forgot Costco, your credit union, or bank.

The best thing to do is to create a throw away email address and email a bunch of dealers until you get the price you want. Let them compete with each other without ever having to leave your house.

Costco sucked, don't mess with them.

You are not getting the van for that price, realistically.
