If I lease a pricey (over $500) smartphone from a carrier and it is lost or stolen

Will the carrier assist me in trying to track it down with their technology or am I on my own in trying to locate it?

Go to google timeline. Maps, My Timeline. If you had your GPS location on, you will see where it last was.

You have to find it yourself. But, they can blacklist the IMEI. Also, if it is in android phone you can locate it, and make it ring through your gmail account, even if it is on silent.

You’re on your own, but there is so much technology available so long as you activate it.
