| that's a unicorn unless you make your own.....gluten is what binds the veggie burger together |
| Cardboard? |
| Mushroom. |
| Is it really medically necessary for you to be gluten free and low carb? If not, quit the dumb diets and just eat real food. Have a black bean burger, or the veggie masala burger from TJs. |
This seems like the best you can do, mushrooms, carrots, and onions with egg binding them maybe? |
| Beyond Meat |
|
couldn't you use egg as a binding agent?
if you eat fish salmon burgers could work |
| I don’t know about low carb but Costco has great gluten free veggie burgers. |
TJs veggie masala burgers are relatively nutrient free, and a lot of black bean burgers (in addition to tasting gross) are high calorie. They're like a non-vegetarian's idea of what vegetarians eat. Boca burgers original vegan burgers are 70 calories and 13 grams of protein. |
TJ Masala vs. Boca burgers ingredients. Yeah I'll stick with the masala ones. But maybe you're into faux nutrition and look at numbers, instead of ingredients (ie, quality vs. quantity). And since I know you're going to hinge on "sugar," they both contain 1g of sugar. As far as nutrition, go with the Masala over the Boca garbage. I'm sure you can find something better than the TJs ones, but if you're comparing the two... skip the crappy soy sh!t.
|
| Also pp? Most real vegetarians also avoid the stuff loaded with cheap soy (like boca burgers). You're far better off eating the extra 30-40 calories if they're better quality for your body. |
UHHH, neither of those are gluten free....wheat = gluten |
|
^ right, hence the question: "Is it really medically necessary for you to be gluten free and low carb?"
If not, and OP is just trying to jump on some stupid fad bandwagon, then they have more healthful options. |
