| It seems like most women are pursuing Frozen these days and a lot of clinics are doing Freeze all cycles. Is there anyone who has had success with a fresh transfer and do you remember your key stats (ie. number of follicles, eggs retrieved/matured/fertilized/made to blast, and also your estrogen/progesterone at Trigger?). Any complications from the fresh transfer? |

The doctors that I've seen currently think that frozen transfers are at least as good or better, because the body is in a more natural state.
I had a fresh cycle work years ago. Estrogen was lower, because of dor. |

My experience is from 5 years ago at SG (dx unexplained, age 35 at the time). I did a fresh transfer. I don't know the follicle count, but I had 21 eggs retrieved, 17 mature, 15 fertilized (2 abnormally so), ended up with 6 good embryos. Transferred the best one of those 6 and now have a 4yo DD.
I don't know my hormone levels, but I was switched to a Lupron trigger at the last minute. |
| I've done fresh transfers with both my IVFs and have had success both times. I have an AFC of about 16-18 and got 12 and 15 eggs from my retrievals. I don't know about progesterone, but my estrogen was over 3200 this last IVF so they had me do a lupron trigger. I felt completely fine after that retrieval, compared to my previous one with an HCG trigger and some fluid retention and bloat (but no serious OHSS). |
| I did a fresh transfer in 2013. I had 20 eggs, 18 mature, 17 fertilized, 5 made it to day 5 blast, 1 made it to day 6 blast. We transferred the best-looking day-5 blast which resulted in my now 5-year-old. I don’t know my hormone levels at transfer, but I was on the micro-dose Lupron protocol. I am currently pregnant with a frozen blast from that same cycle. If I had to be honest, the fresh cycle was almost easier than the frozen. I had trouble getting my estrogen levels up for the frozen and had to cancel my first FET attempt. Also, the 10 weeks of progesterone shots sucked—I got to take suppositories for the fresh cycle. |

Me. We had failed FETs and a successful fresh.
First round IVF: 23 eggs retrieved, 18 mature, 18 fertilized, resulted in 5 embryos frozen at day 3, untested. FET #1: transferred two, none took FET #2: one did not survive thaw, transferred two, none took Second round IVF: 6 eggs retrieved/mature, 5 fertilized resulted in 4 embryos at Day 3. Froze two, transferred two in fresh transfer. The one that took just woke up from her nap. |
Possible though that the other were abnormal. |
^ Yes, it is possible. I did not say otherwise

I'm probably a bad example of what is typical, but I had two successful fresh transfers:
IVF#1 - 3 eggs retrieved, 2 emb made to 5 day transfer, one stuck IVF#2 - 0 eggs retrieved IVF #3 - 2 eggs retrieved, 2 emb made it 3 day transfer, both stuck |
