What do you give the bus driver, PE teacher, music and art teachers? My child is in K, so this is my first time doing classroom gifts. If I do gift cards, how much is enough? |
I'm not there yet (kid's too young), but if you are spreading the joy around to all those teachers, I'd probably do $10 gift cards and a nice note. |
Small gift for homeroom teacher ($25 or less, something meaningful if possible) along with a personal note. Notes for everyone else. |
We sometimes give cookies or chocolates (small box of nice-ish chocolates) for the smaller gifts. I don't think you have to go crazy. I don't think it's necessarily expected, although appreciated. |
Cupcakes, cookies, brownies, or chocolates, that sort of thing for everyone except main teacher. Cards for all. (not gift cards, CHristmas cards) |
When I was an elementary "specialist" teacher at a school with not-wealthy parents, I typically got a card from some of my kids, along with a candy cane taped to the front of the envelope. It was appreciated -- teachers nkow you can't give presents to all the teachers. If there's a special teacher who spends a lot of time with your child, you might want to give a little more than that. |
Thank you cards and stamps are a thoughtful and appreciated gift. |
$5 gift card to Dunkin Donuts |
Baked good and note of thanks or perhaps small box of chocolates. If a specials teacher went out of their way to help your child perhaps a giftcard. I would save gift cards for the main teacher unless you can easily afford to get everyone gift cards. |
