2020 explorer platinum 58k

That is the best price I could get....weren’t these cars 40k like 3 years ago?
Nice car but it is luxury suv prices now. Anyone have one and find that it worth it?

I tried to price out explorers and got a huge run around. One offered invoice but wouldn't tell me what invoice price was. Have you driven it yet? I just drove the 19 and the 2020 and the 2020 was not particularly fun to drive. You are getting a higher model so no, they weren't $40, but they weren't $60K either.

...too much for a Ford even it is fun to drive....

2020s are selling basically for msrp- 2019 are about 10k off list.
It’s really down to the rear wheel drive and improved handling.
Is the 13k delta worth it to you?

We've had an Explorer since the 90s. They've always been good, reliable SUVs. I didn't like the redesign but I accepted it. When it was time to pass my Explorer onto the kids, I went looking for a new one. I just couldn't justify the price anymore. I ended up with a Chevy Traverse. I still miss a lot of small things about the Explorer but not enough that it was worth it.

We've had terrible issues with our Chevy. Never again. I don't think the new ones justify the price. I had one dealer offer me at invoice but wouldn't tell me what invoice was. You can negotiate but I'm not sure, like you said, I love it enough that its worth it. The 2020 drove much better but was bigger and felt like a big boat.

Just drove ST 2020.
Fun to drive; but wtf with the interior. So cheap!
No way is that a 60k car....50k maybe. Ford went nuts with their pricing.

These prices are insane.

I would look at Dodge Durango.

Or is it too small for you?

You can almost get a q7 for that price! They are clearing out for 2020 models that arrive next month.

That's smaller and looks like every other SUV.

Audi Q7 is the largest suv they make.
To call it an suv is a stretch- but in the us itis the flagship- Europe is q8.

is there a huge difference between the edge and the new explorer? we went "down" to an edge in the 2010s and have been satisfied.

the flex is really nice inside but looks to weird for us to consider seriously.

I really only know about Mercedes, but the comparable size Mercedes will run you about $80k not including taxes, and that doesn’t even include leather. Cars have gotten so much more expensive because of all of the technology.

Explorer has a third row.
