And I don't have dandruff. It's driving me nuts, though! I assume it's the dry weather/lack of humidity inside. But what do I do to fix it?
Sorry. I can't help you. My head itches because I have dandruff. Scalpicin has changed my life.
Neutrogena T-Gel. After washing with that, shampoo with something that smells nice - the stuff stinks but works!
do you have lice?
Neutrogena T-sal (has salicylic acid in it)--use it once a week
Are you sure you are rinsing out all the shampoo? At the salon, they tell me to rinse in each direction to be sure the shampoo is not collecting at the base of my scalp and irritating my head.

Thanks, everyone. Can you have dandruff without having flakes?
In any event, I had switched shampoos recently and switched back to my old one; now no problems. I'm not sure what was going on. |
Probably just contact dermitis from the other shampoo. Who knows what ingredient. Glad you are better. Itchy head is annoying.
Get a lice comb and run it through your hair, just in case.
I agree. It really stinks, but works. Is your water shower too hot?It can make your head very dry. |
I find some hair products really make my head itch - so it could have been the new shampoo. I also find stress can make my head itch. Not sure why, but it really does.
