| Is it a bright blue with a big bright blue basketball-sized sphere on top of a 3-4 foot pole on the roof? I think we just saw it going up and down streets in the North Ridge part of Alexandria. I'm pretty excited! We weren't close enough to read what was on the side of the car, if there was anything. What really stood out was the bright blue orb up top! |
| Yes, I think I saw it once in Bethesda, a couple of years ago. Sure enough, the pic of our house was updated after that. |
| You missed your chance. You’re supposed to flash your boobs when it goes by so you can be google famous. It’s a thing. |
| No that was a UFO. Pretend you didn’t see anything. |
Darn it, I could have been famous. I have quite a rack! |
It amazes me when people don't seem to know how to actually use Google:
|
|
| I’m on there for our neighbor’s address as the camera car went by when I was getting in my car one day. Unfortunately, I was dressed normally - I mean dressed, not flashing anything! |
The care we saw looked almost exactly like that except it was BRIGHT BLUE! I did look up the pics but didn't see any blue ones. Unfortunately we were coming out of the Baskin Robbins parking lot and that whole scene is always such a kerfluffle that there was no way to get close to the car.
Its a shame. Our brush with Google destiny foiled by ice cream cones and a granny in a Prius. Well, plus me being a super slow driver. |

One of these drove by our house as I was walking out the front door with my toddler one day. You can’t see us on direct view of the house, but you can when you enter neighbors’ addresses and look back at our house.
I’ve noticed that sometimes google streetview is composed of photos taken on very different dates, even house to house. I’ve always wondered why that is- if they try to eliminate photos of people and default to an older photo, or what. |
| We saw one twice this week. |
| I saw it once, and waved out my car window. For a long time, when you googled that intersection, you could see my car and my hand out the window. |
| I’ve gotten my pic on street view. And a few weeks ago, a similar car came by and said “apple maps” or similar on the side. I think it was blue. |
Here's the Apple Maps Car. Anything else you'd like me to Google for you?
|
| Yea, I’ve seen it a few times this week, once in my street. Our last photo was from Halloween with all our fake skeletons in the yard, I’ll be sad to see that one go! |
