I like to give little gifts to siblings for birthdays, etc.
RIght now I'm looking for some small gifts I can give to boys and girls (doesn't necessarily need to be the same) - generally, but specifically for big bothers and sisters having new siblings enter the family who are around 10/11. Any ideas? |
What age range ? |
I'm not sure what you are talking about and you don't need to give gifts to non-birthday kids/siblings.
But if you want some gifts for 10-11 year olds, I would do small notebooks with cute pens, stickers, legos. |
I know I don't need to, but I want to. This is great- legos. I have only girls and I tend to think of things like playdough, lipgloss. |
Please give girls legos and not lipgloss. |
Art supplies are good and gender-neutral. Markers, colored pencils, sketchbook, etc. |
Aren't 11 year olds too old for things like playdoh, legos and stickers? |
I think 11 year olds are too old to need consolation gifts when their sibling is having their birthday, but whatever.
Books and art supplies are also good. |
OP here and I'm pretty appalled I wrote that. |
Interesting. "Need" may be a strong word, but I think it's always a nice touch. |
So this is a gift for specifically when there's a new baby, not for younger siblings' birthdays, right? |
both- looking for something I can keep easily on hand. $5 or less preferred. |
I don't want a lego set around with a new baby. How about a book, art supplies, etc. Nothing with lots of pieces. |
Definitely not for legos. Some sets say 14+. |
Lego sets appropriate for older kids are usually over the $5 limit, though. Otherwise, you are never too old for Lego. |
