small, standard gifts

I have an almost-10-year-old boy. Some ideas

Pack of glowsticks, new markers, sketch book, cute goofy socks, Uno or card games, bath bomb, bubble bath, temporary tattoos. Candy is always nice, too.

There’s an entire store for stuff like that and it’s called Five Below.

Bath bomb for a boy?!

both- looking for something I can keep easily on hand. $5 or less preferred.

FWIW, I don't want my kid to get a gift when it's her sister's birthday. I want her to be able to be happy for someone else, fully.

Boys do take baths.

This. No snark.

What kind of world is this? Only gender neutral gifts are acceptable now? People have gone nuts.

But if you want some gifts for 10-11 year olds, I would do small notebooks with cute pens, stickers, legos.

I know I don't need to, but I want to.
This is great- legos. I have only girls and I tend to think of things like playdough, lipgloss.

Please give girls legos and not lipgloss.

Oh please. My daughter loves lipgloss. I get some in my stocking every year too.

DP. I think you missed the PP’s point.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to agree with the poster who warned about giving gifts to non birthday siblings. I wouldn't like this as a parent. It's healthy for siblings to learn that one day a year is celebrating that one child and his special day - and that it's not about them.

Don't be ridiculous, OP.

Many of us aren't fans of endless crappy gifts.

Its not that gender specific gifts are bad, but the OP isn't buying an individual person a gift. She wants something she can just have on hand and pull out of her stash when she needs a gift. It seems easier if she doesn't have to worry about keeping separate boy and girl gifts.

Aren't 11 year olds too old for things like playdoh, legos and stickers?
