Hi-posted an ad selling a relatively new car in Maryland that I’m selling due to relocation. Lots of responses but people are among for documentation I don’t have:
1) car fax report (do I need to provide this or does the buyer usually do their own search?) 2) inspection report (I thought the inspection would be done by the seller at the inspector of their choice, but it looks like Maryland motor vehicle requires that the seller provide the inspection. It’s not clear to me at what time frame (when buyers come and look at the car we hand them the inspection report? ) |

It's all on buyer.
Actually, if a buyer insists on your providing any reports - carfax, inspection, etc. - he's an idiot, as either of those can be easily forged/manipulated. |

if a newer car. and its a high dollar vehicle. as the seller, Id buy and print out a car fax. for them to look at in person. provided I have nothing to hide.
if your vehicle has a current and valid inspection, you should hve a copy of the inspection report in your glove box. again make a copy for them to look at in person, but not for them to take |
