black beans in crockpot

Anonymous
I've looked online but can't really find a recipe for this. Does anyone have a recipe for cooking black beans in a crockpot?

Thanks.

I made this up, but they're so good that my 10 year old daughter likes them, mixed with brown rice.

To the dried black beans and water, add: chopped onion, and handful of whole peeled garlic cloves, a dash of dried chipotle powder, and some cumin.

Black beans and water, salted to taste at end is a no-fail. Add whatever other spices you like, but it really isn't necessary.

instead of chopping the onion, toss a whole peeled onion in and add a whole pepper, as well. You can take the big pieces out if your picky kids don't like stuff in their beans.
