Right age for dollhouse?

We tried around 4-5 but it wasn’t played with so much. Thoughts from when your kids used yours?

Is there a dollhouse she wants? Most of the plastic ones are crappy.

We have a nice wooden one (not the huge ones, like Fisher Price sized). My son loved it from 2-4 and still plays with it occasionally at 5. Doesn't do much with furniture, just makes up stories about the figurines. My 2.5 year old daughter won't touch the thing. She loves dolls and figurines but she insists they go to every other toy in the house and never the dollhouse. So from my sample of two, who knows. I never liked dollhouses myself, come to think of it.

Age 6, from Santa. It’s a really nice wooden, Kidcraft one.

My grandfather made me one. Been passed around among the great grandkids. Some never touched it. We got it when my son was 6 because I was pregnant with a girl. He still plays with it at 8! Sometimes the 18 month old will play with it. I am sure she will grow into it.

My almost two year old girl quite liked the (huge, plastic fisher-price) one at Grandma's house. She enjoyed moving around the furniture and putting the baby in and out of chairs.

One DD loves them and still uses at age 10. The other never had any interest. Maybe your child just isn’t into them and it’s not an age thing.
