trigger shot and timed intercourse vs. straight to IUI

| When beginning treatments, has anyone gone straight to IUI verse starting with timed intercourse. 34 and trying for #2 for a year now. Meeting with RE next week but trying to educate myself beforehand. |

| I started with ivf when I was younger than you. Male factor made ti or IUI not worth it. What's your diagnosis? |

| Isn't LH surge the same as trigger shot? Basically 36 hours to ovulation. |

| Totally depends on what your initial testing says. If your RE doesn't do sperm analysis initially, push them to do it. That way you'll know if there's any male factor issues. If there are, your RE will be more willing to discuss going right to IUI. If costs isn't an issue I think going right to IUI is worth it. But as pp said, depending on your testing going straight to IVF may be a conversation to have as well. |
