DS is in 5th grade and we're realizing his current pediatrics office is good for younger kids, but not necessarily tweens. Can anyone recommend a pediatrician (or other physician as I realize we may be at the last age group for a pediatrician) in MoCo (Rockville) that is good for this age group?
Pediatric and Young Adult Center in Bethesda. I would recommend Dr. Cohen she's very warm and relatable. They have a whole teen area up on the top level that is separate from the littles and more like a dorm common area. Also the desk staff are warm and kind and helpful. Love love them! https://www.thepediatriccarecenter.com/
They only take one type of insurance. So not very helpful, unless you want to pay out of pocket.

We have teens and go there as well. They have an entire floor dedicated to teenagers.
How often are your kids going to the doctor at this point? For us, annual physical, and occasional other issur. They are totally worth it in my opinion....Besides, until they go to the adult doctor (mine starts accepting kids at 16), there is no other teen place that I know of. Our kids see Mattey (male) and Kornfeld (female) and they, and I, couldn't be happier. |
This is too far for you, but we really like Dr. Parikh at Pediatric and Adolescent Care of Silver Spring. She's great with my tween, and really approachable!
Dr Silvestro at Metropolitan Pediatrics
