Looking for a less crowded pool on weekend

Anonymous
I have a 3 year old, and we don't have a pool in our HOA. Please recommend a county recreational center or pool membership that I can take him to go playing with water on weekends. I am looking for a clean, less crowded on weekend & has shadow kid area. Everywhere that I have searched seem to be crowded with kids on the weekend or closed for many hours for swim classes. If it is indoor pool, it would be great that it has temperature control as well.

We live in Gaithersburg, MD, thanks! Please provide a price if it is a season or monthly membership. Thanks.

Are you going right when pools open? That is generally the least crowded time at our pool. It builds throughout the afternoon till it starts to drop when you get close to dinner times.

All of the pools are going to be crowded on weekends in the summer.

I took DD to the county's Glenmont pool Sunday morning when it first opened at 12 and it was pretty empty for the fire hour or so we were there.

Too late for this season, but next year you could look into a non-resident membership to the Mongomery Village pools. They are very nice and rarely crowded.

There are 7 different pools with different features for younger kids. Some are super busy at certain times, but you can learn when and go to different ones then.
