Which one would you recommend?

| I have -- and regularly use -- Jacques & Julia, which is based on her partnership with Jacques Pepin. It's classic french dishes, well-written with lots of photos, and a sidebar from each of them on their own take or trick with the recipe. |
| We have The Way to Cook. It's one of our top five cookbooks. We use it as a reference even when cooking recipes from another cookbook. |
| I like Baking with Julia - lots of good information, although I have to admit I've had it 10 years and still haven't try the more complex recipes like croissants. Maybe that will be one of my New Year's resolutions. |
