Dulles toll road violation - can I contest?

I was coming from the airport and got confused with all the construction going on, and missed the last exit before tolls. I don't have EZ Pass, and didn't have exact change. No booth was manned, so... I ran it. I didn't know what else to do and person behind me was honking. 
I still have my boarding pass and can confirm that I was indeed coming from the airport and parked there for a few days. Anyone have luck with contesting something like this? |

you can scan the images of the ticket and parking stub from the airport, and send in the letter explain your confusion with the construction and give it a shot. But in reality, there is noting to contest, you ran through a toll plaza with out paying... it happens, call it the stupid tax.... |

| No but if it's your first time they will waive the ezpass fine if you buy an ezpass and register your car. |

| Isn't the violation only something like $3? If not, maybe I'm thinking of the Maryland tolls around Baltimore. |
