Is there someplace local that has a good selection of Frye boots that I can try on? There is a huge selection on-line, but I'd like to know how the boots fit and look before I buy. thanks!

I got some at DSW recently for $200 and I believe they were $400 originally.

I guess I'll have to find time for a trip to Tysons, then. Thanks!

I can't believe Frye boots are in again. They were in when I as in Jr. high. I always wanted a pair and my mother said no. I guess this is my chance.

You can also order them from online from either Zappos or Shoes.com and return them (for free) if you don't like them. I don't have it in me to go chasing around some awful mall only to find out that they don't have my size 11, which is often the case. I ordered the Veronica slouch from Shoes.com (which often has 15-20% off coupons) and was very pleasantly surprised at how well they fit. They were keepers - love them!

Having never had a pair---are Frye Boots super comfortable? Would love to have some boots that I can really walk miles around the city in.

I would make exactly the same recommendation--I ordered my Frye Veronica slouch boots from Zappos and got them to match a 20% off price I found at Lorisshoes.com. THey claim that they don't have a price-matching policy, but my impression is that they'll do it once for you, especially if you're a good customer. I ordered without trying them on, knowing I could return them for free. I hate going to malls.

Surprisingly comfortable. Not cushy like Aerosoles or something like that, but the Fryes fit your foot so well that you could definitely walk miles in them.

Have Frye Campus boots--they are sort of comfortable--very heavy. And, I am a boot person. In short, not as comfortable as I would have thought. They may just need more wearing in since they are thick leather.

OMG--their spring ones are so cute. They must have completely revamped the brand. Love.

how is their fit in the calf? Tall boots always seem too narrow in the calf for my more 'athletic' shape (5'6" 140lbs)
