Did first IUI today at Shady Grove--should we have sex tonight to cover our bases?

Hi all,
Did my first IUI today at Shady Grove. I'm wondering if my husband and I should have
sex tonight to increase our chances? Or could this have a small potential to interfere with the IUI?
I've read conflicting reports on the internet.

I've never heard that. Always that the more sex the better. I also read a study that showed having sex about a week after ovulation also may help, so try that as well.

PP here. They think having sex a week after ovulation may help by aiding implantation for some reason.

sure why not? can't hurt to cover your bases. i've never done it though.

After my first IUI, we had sex 3 times in 24 hours. And it worked- I gave birth to my son last year. So go for it, and good luck!

I had two IUIs at Shady Grove and was told to have sex on the day of the trigger, two days before the procedure. They didn't say anything about the day of the actual procedure, but I'm sure extra sex can't hurt.

Have as much sex as possible, it can't hurt, and it will only increase your chances. Best of luck to you, I wish you the best
