Pick-Up/ Street / Drop-In Soccer Summer 2019

There have been a few threads about this but I thought it would be helpful to have some information all in one place.

Here's what I know of going on in the DMV this summer. Please add any information if you have it.

Arlington Drop-In Soccer - open to all players, all ages. Separate sessions for HS and K-8 players. http://www.arlingtonsoccer.com/programs/other-programs/drop-in-soccer

FPYC Pick-Up Soccer - used to be Friday nights and Sunday afternoons at Draper or Stafford, open to anyone, but I don't see anything scheduled on their website now. Anyone know if this is still going on? https://fpycsports.demosphere-secure.com/sports/soccer/training/training-calendar

Some random guy on twitter - saw this retweeted a few times last week. Open session of street soccer on a hardcourt in Alexandria. Not sure if it will be a regular thing or not. https://twitter.com/TeamCAA11/status/1144421040619216896?s=19

Yes it’s is open to all.

DC Stoddert Soccer hosts drop-in soccer on a seasonal basis for both kids and adults. Adult players must be 18 years of age or older. DC Stoddert provides the fields, and players bring their A-game! Play as often as you want – or if you have to skip a session, no problem. Players should bring water to drink, a soccer ball, and wear shin guards and appropriate footwear. If possible, bring a dark shirt and a light shirt to wear as well. Drop-In is open to all players, and registration is NOT required. Bring your friends!

SUMMER 2019: “Double Drop-In” soccer will happen on Saturday mornings starting in July. Open to all & free to participate, Double Drop-In features fields for players on one side (players from grades 2-7) and fields for adults on the other side. Drop-In takes place on Saturdays from 11:15am to 12:30pm, taking place at Jelleff Rec Center (3265 S St NW, Washington, DC). Summer Drop-In dates: July 13, 20, 27, August 3, 10, 17.

WEATHER NOTE: Jelleff is an artificial turf field, so Drop-In sessions will take place unless there is steady rain. If Drop-In is canceled for any reason, that will be noted on DC Stoddert Soccer’s website on the homepage in a grey bar along the top.

For children participating in drop-in programs, we ask that parents are reachable during the session.

Anybody go to the Arlington pick-up? Is it good turnout with travel kids? Boys and girls?

would be nice if people actually tried to help out.

I have a DD between U10-U13 and it would be really nice to get a couple travel girls together to play and get a feel of different players. Idc if it’s near Springfield, Fairfax, Alexandria etc.. Come on soccer parents!!!

u10 to u13 can be a big difference in travel.

FPYC has pick up every Sunday 4-6pm at Draper Drive Park through August 11th I believe.

You can do it in your own neighborhood. Just get some kids on the team together and invite others in your neighborhood. Yiu can play in your street or at the local park or elementary school

Does anybody know if children grades 8 - 12 can play? Are they considered adults?

This is correct. Please join us! Open to all! Will run past the 11th though.
