I can not get over this. Wherever I go I see young guys wearing shoes that look like they MUST be at least 4 inches longer then their feet. It is really funny, I can not imagine how then can walk and not trip over? It looks not only like some sort of overcompensation for something but it clearly must be a health hazard. What is with this thing, when did it became so popular.
Come one, who are you kidding? I see a guy that is like 5 feet 3 inches and he is wearing as shoe that seem like size 12. It is like a plague. I assume the shoe sellers could not push the larger sizes so they started the fad?
I don't know, I have seen many trends, some healthier then others but this is insane. It truly is a health hazard. Is it some sort of fashion statement or is it an attempt to impress someone with the length of the foot that appears to have a medical condition. |

Er, no, I think they are wearing shoes that fit. What's wrong with you, making fun of people's feet? |
| The longer shoes make guys look shorter don't they? Do they know? |
| I’ve never seen this. Are these dress shoes or sneakers? Do you have a picture? I don’t see how they could walk. |
start looking down my friend. Clearly you have no idea..
And no, no not the fun, an observation and no not the people's feet, but the phenomenon that has a potential to hurt. |
Casual / formal shoes with office dress type of clothing as this is most obvious in this type of shoes. |
Without showing the full person this is just an idea, in reality imagine this kind of foot not on a towering guy but on a 5' guy, and you can bet that his toes end where the horizontal line connecting the top is Not a tad further.

| Oh yeah I’ve seen this. It’s a European style where the shoe tapers to a point, and toes aren’t shaped that way, so the point is a couple inches longer than the foot. It’s not like men who wear a size 10 are buying a size 13. The shoe is styled that way for a size 10. |
| Ok, so pointed shoes? That’s not the same as shoes that are too big. |
This looks like an appropriately sized shoe. You sound oddly fixated on men’s footwear. |
| How is this any different from, say, women’s pointed toe flats? |
It’s not. |
|
Height and shoe size aren't always a direct correlation.
If they are dragging their toes they may be to big but other than flip flops/sandals how can you really tell? I am 6’3 and my wear a 13. Good friend is 5’10 and wears and 15.5. |
| After size 12, men's shoes are not offered in the 1/2 sizes. So, if your foot is bigger than a size 12, you have to go to a size 13. Sees crazy to me |
| The toes are pointed, that is all. |
