I know this isn't exactly school related, but I figured the people who would know the answer are on the VA schools board.
We have a 6 year old and 3 year old. We want to see the city of Fairfax fireworks tonight, but getting out was a disaster last year. There were not enough shuttles. Are there any places we can see the fireworks without all the hassle? Thank you! |

Safeway parking lot by the old McDonalds or
Top of parking garage in center of old town. |
| Vienna metro parking deck. Can also see Vienna fireworks from there. |
| City of Falls Church has fireworks at George Mason HS. |
Is this like saying, "where the McDonalds use to be"? NP here. More info please, to figure out which McDonalds |

Can you just drive close to watch from the street?
I don’t want to deal with a shuttle bus. |
| How bad can a shuttle bus be??? |
Not OP, but: The issue isn't the buses, it's the fact they can take ages to arrive. OP already said that last year there were too few shuttles. People were waiting very long times for shuttles to get back to their cars. |
| NP, the old McDonald's is at the Safeway plaza near Old Town Fairfax, bordered by Old Lee Highway and Willard Way - near the Fairfax City library. |
