Two New Forum Proposals

Anonymous
Wasn't there a DC Urban Dad forum at one point or am I loosing it? If not, that's my first suggestion. My second is one for Party Planning-- I'm constantly looking for information related to party planning and it would be great to have a forum for this type of information. Thanks for the consideration!

DC Dads became "sex and relationship issues" because that's mostly what got posted there and lots of moms use/d it.

dc dads failed due to moms who couldn't control themselves.

party planning sounds like a masochistic task for Jeff since it's sure to attract a lot of spam, ads, sock puppetry, and other things he's not thrilled with.

Single dads would be a nice one. As a nanny I here from dads that are single where can they go to ask questions of other single dads.

There are too many forums, if you ask me. But I do wonder why there isn't any forum for sports. It might actually attract the dads back (if we are starting threads on Jon and Kate, why not allow a thread on the dreadful Redskins), and I think we spend too much time thinking only about the academic world of the child and not the physical world. I'd love to discuss sports programs at schools, out of schools, schedules for games, etc.

These topics are appropriate for the "off-topic" forum. If threads on these topics proved popular, I'd consider establishing a forum for them. However, I'm trying to avoid a "build it and they will come" approach.
