whats the timeline in terms of drawing up a contract, getting the nanny to sign it, collecting her certificates and working papers for tax purposes, and getting the contract signed? Anything else im missing here? Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated!! |
I’m not sure I’m understanding. You negotiate the contract, get all required documents, and sign contract before she starts. |
as Fast as is humanly possible. Do contract and get her to sign/agree pending background and references.
We met our fantastic nanny, drew up the contract the same night and offered her the position that night pending reference check (she was already state background checked). |
I echo the “do it fast”. Have your contract outlined before you start interviewing. Discuss it with the chosen nanny during your interview. Offer her the position pending reference checks and background checks. If you don’t move fast, you will lose the good candidates. |
Contract should be signed before start date. I9 has to be done before working. Tax forms have to be done before first paycheck, most do them with the contract and I9. |
