3 year old suddenly afraid to fall asleep

3 year old sleep trained at 1 year and has slept through the night and fallen asleep alone in her room ever since. Last weeks have been HARD getting her to sleep alone and she also now wakes much earlier despite skipping naps etc....how do we get her to fall asleep again by herself? She is in toddler bed.
