Any success with IF during the workday?

I was pretty successful at my old office, but now it's open office and food smells trigger my hunger.

Make it a habit on a daily basis.
Take it one day at a time.

Next year we become empty nesters.

My plan is that I will have time to cook on the weekend.

That way I can eat good breakfasts and lunches and skip dinner.

There are lots of activities we would like to do around dinner time.

Most days, by the time we get home it will feel too late to eat since I don't fall asleep well right after eating.

We could never make it work when the kids were little.

It might work now but family dinner is too important as DC#2 does senior year.

This has nothing to do with the OP.

Yes, I did. I’m a teacher and this past year my grade level didn’t have lunch until 1:00 so that was helpful. I went straight through from 8:30 to 1:00 without a break so there was no time at all to eat even if I was hungry. I’m actually not looking forward to next year because my grade level will have earlier lunch/specials (even though I usually have meetings during specials but at some of them it’s considered ok to eat) so I will have to stop my eating window at night much earlier or else I’ll have to wait until the end of the school day to eat which will be way too long.

In a regular office setting you just have to put your head down and try to ignore. Put the Zero or My Fast app on your phone and set an alarm when your window is over. Try not to allow yourself to end your window early. Once you start avoiding the temptations it will become easier.

I'm a teacher with a 1:30 lunch and it is so, so easy for me to wait during the school year. Then I come home and immediately do chores and make dinner so I have a 5.5 hour eating window. I am really struggling this summer already so I am following this thread!
