Breaking in soccer shoes with hot water

Anonymous
So apparently there are bunch of Youtube videos out there that the best way to break in new boots is to heat your cleats with hot water or steam and stretch them out for a bit before using them.

Anyone trying this? Wondering if it works.

I think you only need to do this if they were leather shoes. Most soccer shoes now are made of synthetic materials and it is not required.

Thats a decades old trick. You put them on your feet soak in water like hot tub or pool will do. After about 30 min. get out walk around leave them on for at least an hour preferably til they dry. and they shrink into a mold of you foot. BUT THIS ONLY WORKS ON GENUINE LEATHER BOOTS. SYNTHETIC DOES NOT SHRINK THE SAME AND WONT MOLD THE BOOT TO YOUR FOOT.
