Beauty and Fashion
| I just returned from out of town and 3 of my friends independently told me I need to cut my dry, frizzy hair and need a makeover. Where would you go? |
| Where do you live. Are you willing to spend a little, medium, or a lot (i.e. 100, 300, or 500) |
| 100 is a little? eep. |
|
100 it is a little...
you have to go to a great salon and let her do a different style!!! |
| You can get a makeover for free-ish if you're willing to buy some stuff. Are you conservative or trendy? Ipsa is a great salon in Georgetown and Jacque Dessange in Friendship Heights does a great job (esp WRT color) but they tone down trendy styles to fit the DC scene. |

No such thing as a free lunch. You get what you pay for. There's a reason why some charge more than others - experience, training, results, communication skills, etc.
OP, look at this as an investment, not a cost. Lots of benefits to get out of this. |
| OP here-so where would I go for a makeover? |
| Aveda in Bethesda might be a good middle ground. I like Jaque Desange too. Also ILO in Gtown but be clear you want a new look/makeover. See Salvador. |
| I just think if your style is pretty natural anything to extreme (i.e. Channel counter for makeup) is going to make you feel silly. I like the Aveda idea for makeup and hair. |
