So much for UVA stereotypes
https://www.bestcolleges.com/features/best-colleges-for-lgbt-students/ |
| Maryland is #5 and Delaware is #24. Nice! |
| Ah, more rankings. Must be fact. |
| Very surprising to see UVA listed in the top 10 on a list like this. Just goes to show. Don’t believe everything you read in the papers |
| But believe those rankings! |
| Aren't all colleges super gay friendly? |
| They are basing these rankings on what schools have the most services for lgbtq students. I think what's more meaningful is the % of lgbtq students on campus. For that I would think that the all female schools would come out ahead. |
| UVA's law school was recently ranked very high for the same. |
|
| Things have changed. When I went to Princeton, my RA was closeted. |
| Lehigh? Really? |
You can’t MAKE students disclose this information, so how do you propose to know this for certain? A big state U might have more LGBTQ+ students than a tiny women’s college, but it’s impossible to know. |
For the most part, except for the seriously Christian ones. |
| So happy to read this! |
Even at Brown I knew a few closeted gay students. At Brown. Circa late 1990s-early 2000s. |
