My kids (10 and 12) seem to be addicted to an app called Webtoons where users submit their own comics. I just read a review that said there is a lot of sex and violence in some of the comics. My kids are telling me that if they come across that content, they don't read it.
Any parents out there who know this app and can advise? |
If you looked at it and didn't think it was ok, how is this a question. |
Why don't you install it and decide for yourself?
If the stuff is really atrocious it may be a good time to talk to your kids about what is appropriate according to your family standards. No offense intended OP, I can see coming here for sanity check, but if dcum said it was a terrible app, what would you do? Tell your kids an anonymous message board didn't like it? |
My kid has been reading on webtoons since he was just over 10. I am sure he has come across some "bad" stuff, but thus is life. I don't screen his reading material. |
I personally hate all these things where people can post anything. There used to be some screening mechanism (eg radio would not play truly offensive songs; no mainstream book publisher would publist racist rants...). Now any idiot can post any idiocy and kids that don’t know better watch it. |
