We are considering moving several blocks from Lafayette Elementary School/Recreation Center in Chevy Chase DC and one of the prime reasons is access to the Lafayette Rec Ctr for our teenage boys. I'd be very grateful for input from Chevy Chase DC residents about whether their teenagers use the Rec Center after school, in the evenings, and on the week-ends. Thanks, in advance. |
You may want to get this moved to Real Estate. |
Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I think the "rec center" is a 1 room hut used to coordinate the after care for the elementary school? There are 3 tennis courts and I'm sure some other sports fields but as far as I know it is basically a playground for kids evenings and weekends and not a hang out for tweens and teens. |
Jeez, I couldn’t even figure out what they were talking about but I think you’re right! |
Thanks, everyone, for your replies. I'll move this to real estate and clarify what I mean by "Rec." Lafayette Elementary and Lafayette Rec are in the same location. The tennis courts, ping pong tables and basketball hoops belong to Rec. The playground and playing field belong to Lafayette Elementary. |
"rec center" is a charitable description of that little brick shack with two usually unserviced bathrooms and a storage room |
