| Is this a good GPA for sophomore year,. |
| Go help mom make dinner. |
|
Which HS?
At my kids' MCPS schools, not really. At some private schools, pretty much. |
FCPS |
|
I personally think you did great. But in FCPS, it's probably not a competitive GPA. But don't worry. Colleges like to see challenging classes. Take lots of honors and AP. Those classes will help you boost your GPA pass the 4.0.
And someone on this post is nasty to tell you "to help your mom". There is nothing wrong with asking for outside opinion. And I bet you, that same nasty person probably talks to people in a sugary saccharine persona. |
| Yes it is good. |
| Average excellent. |
| For sophomore year, yes. If you can at least maintain your grades in AP or IB classes next year, it will go up. |
| It's good, but take a ton of AP/IB classes and it will shoot up even more. |
| What is the unweighted gpa? |
| 3.9 |
| For comparison, dd’s gpa was 4.063 after 10. In 11, she earned a 4.35, leading to an overall gpa of 4.15 |
Comparison of what? |
| If GPA is one of the big 3 that is an amazing GPA since kids rarely gets straight As |
|
OP, what you are really asking is: what is the grade distribution for the 10th grade class at your school, and where does your student fall on the bell curve. You are unlikely to get this information.
