But they did get to see the pelvic thrusts, gyrations, and crotch grabs. So cool! |
This show was so mild compared to past shows. Do you forgive those things if they sing in English? |
| Dance with yo butt out folks! |
What was the message? |
What a stupid joke. Everyone calls this area the DMV. |
Finally some decent advice on this site! |
Nope. I think the music and entertainment industry is harming our kids. It's a gross culture in many ways. |
I have an off button on my TV remote I parent my kids. It is possible. |

“I understood about 2% of what he said, but 100% of what he meant” |
Of course they do. |
Then you have no opinion here since you wouldn’t have watched the halftime show to begin with. The show has been a music show for decades. You wouldn’t know this and didn’t tune in, right? |
My kids did not watch it, because I do not expect a half time show to be appropriate for elementary age children. I had fun rewatching a couple previous shows- remember 2004 where Nelly sang “It’s getting hot in here so take off all your clothes” while women yanked off clothes on stage and shook their asses? No? Probably because all anyone remembers about that show is Janet Jackson having her clothes ripped off. But there was plenty of other sexual dancing - just like every other year. Do you realize how dumb you sound pretending this show was in any way out of the ordinary? |
+1. It was about family, love beating hate, being inclusive and pursuing your dreams. You could have figured that out if you had your eyes open. |
I’m close to age 60. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and absorbed the positivity, love and theater of it depsite not speaking a word of Spanish language. It was up there with my favorite halftime shows, maybe even top. And I agree with many of the posters in that I usually do not understand a word of modern song lyrics even if they are in English! |
Eyes may have been open, but a lot of posters here have shown their minds are closed. |
