I'm afraid this is the equivalent of the impeachment proceedings of Trump's first term. Democrats are going down the rabbit hole once again. On the one hand, winning the midterms will hinge on the economy, yet again (and always). Tariffs are biting and inflation has just nudged upwards, and will continue to dog Trump if he insists on tariffs. Pursuing this Epstein thing, which I am persuaded will yield nothing much, and certainly not bombshell revelations, is just oxygen that isn't used to hit the GOP on inflation. On the other hand, unlike the impeachment proceedings which most of the populace thought were as dull as ditchwater... this is sex, and abusive sex against vulnerable people. People on both sides are titillated (it's gross, but that's how it works) and are paying close attention. Also it hits at the core values of MAGA, who for some reason are fine with sending non-violent migrants into the worse prison on earth, separating families, letting pregnant women suffer or die without abortions, etc... but have this obsession with pedophiles and think they're everywhere in government. Yes, it's very tempting to play on that harp. But Democrats should be careful not to back the wrong horse yet again. |
It isn't the Dems bleating on Epstein, it is the QAnon-MAGAs. |
This. There is no report, video, document, economic/jobs or anything else from this administration that will be trustworthy. |
I can’t imagine there is only copy out there. |
It's the Democrats who are now making a concerted effort to get this investigated. |
Man, what is it about Ohio State and purported pedophile enabling by prominent individuals? Gym Jordan, Les Werner, who am I forgetting? |
Matt Gaetz is an honorary Ohioan in this context. |
Are a lot of posters contending that everyone who flew to Epstein’s private island - including people like Bill Clinton and Bill Gates - had absolutely 100% nothing creepy going on even though they were going to a private island owned by a pedophile?
Do you skeptics believe that no one, except Epstein, raped the hundreds of women who accused him while at this private island or at his houses? I think believing that Epstein, and Epstein alone, is the only one who abused any of these women at these places is more of a looney theory than believing that at least some other powerful people were culpable. There are already unsealed documents citing Alan Dershowitz and Prince Andrew as participating. Why is it a conspiracy to think other powerful people were involved? https://www.businessinsider.com/epstein-accuser-detailed-sex-with-alan-dershowitz-in-unsealed-document-2024-1 https://www.pbs.org/newshour/amp/world/virginia-giuffre-plaintiff-in-epstein-and-prince-andrew-sex-trafficking-case-dies-at-41 |
I have never heard someone say that. I think everyone who went is either guilty or learned enough that they should have reported it and outed him. |
Yes, exactly. |
Ew Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Nutlick bought a townhouse from Epstein.
|
I don't believe that everyone who went to the island did illegal, nefarious things. However, I do believe they saw things that they knew were illegal...and they never reported it to anyone. There are dozens, possibly hundreds, of celebs and wealthy who went to the island once and never again. Why? What'd they see? What do they know? Why didn't they report anything? |
It's not a conspiracy theory. It's an actual conspiracy. I think most people believe are powerful and rich people on both side of the aisle who want this to be buried and forgotten, and it's now clear to most of his supporters that Trump is one of them. |
