under nose and mouth redness

I am pregnant and look terrible. Despite getting enough sleep, it seems like no make up product can cover the redness around my nose and mouth for very long.

I'm not used to using much makeup and neither my creamy eye concealer nor powder mineral makeup is doing the job.

Please help!

OP, it is pregnancy-related but what it is, I couldn't tell you. Best to call your dermatologist and get a solution.

I'm looking for make-up suggestions, mostly. In my experience, the things a derm doc can give you that really work aren't permitted during pregnancy.

I would check out MAC cosmetics, because they have a stage line of make-up (for the stage) that will stay put under klieg lights. Many shades, too, so you can get a good match.

I would buy a pot of that type of MAC concealer and dab it around the folds of my nose, etc. with a stiff little brush.

Anything creamier, like what you would use around your eyes, is going to just slide off the mouth area.

OP, not necessarily true. I had skin issues when pregnant and my doc was able to give me some products.

Cosmetics might actually end up increasing the redness, especially with all the oils and fragrance in them.

Doesn't hurt to call.
